TEACHING AND ADMINISTRATION EXPERIENCE

Program Coordinator for Visual Art    2018 – Present
Analyzed and evaluated the curriculum for all degree and course offerings to provide leadership in the restructuring and updating programs. I  led unit meetings to balance the unit budget, organize recruiting and retention efforts, and worked with the unit while reporting to our accreditation agency (NASAD) as  an accredited member institution.

Led the redevelopment of both the Ceramics and Art Education curriculum, worked on restructuring of the visual art program for reaccreditation while teaching, designing, and promoting student success and guidance in Ceramics, 3-D Design Foundations, Art Appreciation, and Art Education. In addition, maintained supplies and equipment in the Ceramics/Sculpture studio and woodshop.

Created course syllabus and curriculum, administered student assessments in Pottery, Advanced Pottery, and Black and White Design while collaborating with other art teachers in the school district for art shows and professional development. Maintained the Ceramics Studio equipment, inventory, and budget.

Provided support for educators as needed throughout the school, maintained a functioning classroom in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, and adapted to the many styles of classroom functions as the assignment changed frequently.

Summer Studio Assistant - Ceramics    2016
Facilitated the needs of workshop artists, students, and the Ceramics Director throughout the summer
workshop season.  Duties included, mixing clay and glaze, firing kilns of all types, assisting the artists during
demonstrations, instructing students, and maintaining a clean, well stocked studio.
